Privacy Policy

By using FreezePage’s services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this policy, as well as to our general Terms of Use.

We respect the privacy of our users to the fullest:

  • Frozen pages are considered confidential and will not be sold or given away to third parties.
  • Personally identifiable information such as IP addresses is never willfully disclosed to any third party, except if clear cases of deliberate fraud or copyright infringement occur, or if we are obligated by law.
  • Email addresses are used only for the purpose specified.

What information is collected and why?

In addition to information required for the functioning of the system, FreezePage saves information such as referring Web site, browser type and browser language with most user actions. This allows us to track the number of users and their characteristics in order to improve our service.

IP addresses are recorded for the purpose of preventing misuse, for instance in relation to the “Tell A Friend” function, which could otherwise be used to harass people.

Does FreezePage use cookies?

When you first visit FreezePage, we send a “cookie” to your computer. A cookie is a small file that identifies you as a unique user. FreezePage uses cookies in order to store account information, such as your preferences (e.g. your time zone) and frozen pages.

A cookie can tell us, “This is the same computer that visited FreezePage two days ago,” but it cannot give us any information about your person (name, country, etc.) other than what you have chosen to tell us yourself.

With whom does FreezePage share information?

Your personal information and frozen pages are considered confidential and will never be sold or given away to third parties. Likewise, information about individual users, such as IP address, email address, number of visits, etc. is only used for inhouse analysis.

If, however, we receive complaints from people who have been deliberately harassed by our “Tell A Friend” function, we will let them know the IP address of the responsible person.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to disclose the IP address of users who have frozen pages related to illegal activities, such as hacking of other people’s home pages.
